The ballroom erupted into chaos.
Executives rushed toward the massive LED screen.
Guests pulled out their phones.
Within seconds...
People around the world began recording the confidential presentation.
Quarterly reports.
Acquisition contracts.
Private board resolutions.
Projected merger plans.
Everything Mercer Global had spent years protecting...
Was now visible to anyone watching.
Samuel didn't run toward the stage.
He stared at the screen.
Then quietly smiled.
Adrian looked at him in disbelief.
"You expected this?"
Samuel nodded.
"Not this exactly."
"But something close."
Adrian frowned.
"You've known someone was trying to destroy the company."
"For months."
Samuel walked toward the control booth.
Security officers had already sealed every exit.
The hotel's IT manager met him halfway.
"We've traced the signal."
Samuel asked only one question.
"Inside or outside?"
The manager hesitated.
"Inside."
Adrian immediately scanned the ballroom.
Nearly four hundred guests.
Hundreds of phones.
Dozens of executives.
Anyone could be responsible.
Then...
Samuel noticed something strange.
Everyone was looking at the giant screen.
Except one man.
A board member named Richard Sloan.
He wasn't watching the screen.
He was watching Samuel.
As if waiting for his reaction.
Samuel quietly whispered,
"There you are..."
But before security could reach Richard...
The ballroom lights suddenly went out.
Complete darkness.
Several guests screamed.
A loud crash echoed across the room.
When the emergency lights came back on...
Richard Sloan was gone.
Only his champagne glass remained on the table.
Still half full.
Beside it...
Lay another silver packet.
