Chapter 2 - NO ONE LET HIM SPEAK

Daniel orders Richard out of the house.
Richard tries to tell him there is something he needs to see.
Daniel screams that he does not want another excuse.
Vanessa keeps crying whenever Daniel looks at her, but becomes strangely calm whenever his back is turned.
Helen does not openly accuse Richard, but she cannot bring herself to defend him either.
That hurts Richard almost as much as Daniel's punch.
Several relatives witnessed only the aftermath.
Within an hour, everyone has accepted Vanessa's version.
Richard leaves the home he spent decades building.
Daniel tells him:
“Until I decide what happens next, stay away from my wife.”
Richard answers quietly:
“One day you're going to wish you had let me finish one sentence.”
