Richard refuses to resign based on a lie.
Daniel sees that as arrogance.
Vanessa listens beside him.
She never asks Daniel to reconcile.
Instead she carefully says:
“I don't want to be the reason you lose your father.”
The sentence makes Daniel defend her even harder.
Richard recognizes the manipulation immediately.
Daniel does not.
Cliffhanger: Richard asks Daniel one question: “Did you personally approve payments to Aster Row?”
