Chapter 11 - THE HOUSE DIDN’T RECORD THE ROOMEveryone wanted camera.

There wasn't one.
The Cole residence had exterior and hallway cameras, but living room interior excluded.
Privacy choice.
Ironically.
Hall camera captured Richard entering at 7:36:12.
Vanessa already inside.
At 7:38:47 relatives’ audio on hallway mic catches first scream.
2 minutes 35 seconds.
Helen and others rush.
At 7:39:08 Daniel enters.
At 7:39:52 punch? Hall camera angle partly catches bodies? Could maybe show Daniel moving and Richard stumbling, not living room direct. Enough confirm one punch.
No camera of staging.
Mason position:
tablet network plus game log shows activity stopped at 7:35:51 and resumed 7:45 later. Suggest he was not playing during incident.
That strengthens attention.
Not proof gaze.
Vanessa says Richard touched before 7:36? No, he entered at 7:36. Under 2:35 all happened.
Possible but compressed.
She initially said he “wouldn’t stop” and “kept coming near.” Duration short.
Language emotional.
No definitive.
Then audio enhancement hallway picks faint voice at 7:37:50:
male: “What are you doing?”
Mason and Richard both reported exact.
Important.
Could be Richard reacting staging.
Could be to something else.
At 7:38:05 female voice maybe “don’t.” Then scream.
Forensic audio could not reliably transcribe more.
No magic clarity.
But “what are you doing?” around middle supports Richard noticing unexpected action.
Daniel replayed.
His father's voice.
“What are you doing?”
He had heard same live after? No.
Mason said.
Now indirect audio confirms phrase.
Vanessa's version had Richard touching then she panicked. He could ask after she tears buttons.
Still.
Then Daniel realized he was treating each piece as verdict.
Martin:
“Stop.”
Again.
“Evidence isn't jury every five minutes.”
May you like
Daniel nodded.
Cumulative later.
