Foundation removes her from procurement and donor-facing governance for defined period/indefinitely.
Arden House contract terminated and rebid.
No proof Vanessa received money; no embezzlement charge.
But board finds:
conflict disclosure failure,
misrepresented competitive process,
inappropriate vendor favoritism.
Daniel also censured for inadequate oversight/signatures.
Richard’s role:
board asks governance reform due family concentration. He voluntarily reduces founder veto, adds independent directors.
This is satisfying.
Vanessa faces civil settlement with Richard? Defamation claim maybe he chooses not to pursue full public litigation to protect family/Mason. Could seek written retraction to relatives and board. She issues formal correction:
Richard did not assault or touch me. My statements were false.
That restores record.
Daniel legal? He hit Richard. Richard declines charges, but Daniel counseling and internal consequences. Maybe no state involvement. He cannot "get away" morally. Could Richard file civil? No.
Marriage divorce after months, not instant.
Mason receives counseling.
