He provided documents in hope reduced charges/sentence.

Trevor disclosed final fact:
Darlene had not originally asked forge signature.
She asked:
“Find a lawful way.”
Trevor told no lawful transfer without Logan consent.
Darlene responded:
“Then obtain consent.”
He claimed he could through deployment authorization.
He could not.
He forged process.
When deed recorded, he told Darlene:
“Handled.”
She asked:
“Logan signed?”
Trevor said:
“Authorized.”
Ambiguous.
Darlene wanted believe.
Later she learned more.
At least before Megan phase, Trevor said explicitly:
“If Logan disputes first deed, it will be problem.”
Darlene:
“Why would he dispute if it protects Finn?”
Trevor:
“Because he didn’t sign it.”
Silence.
Then:
“Then we do not tell him until full trust funded.”
There.
This proved Darlene knew at some point Logan had not signed.
Maybe after recording, but before birthday.
Her culpability higher.
She chose conceal.
Darlene’s counsel, when shown, advised cooperation.
She stopped contesting.
She gave statement:
“I learned after fact that Logan had not personally executed deed. I failed to report and continued plan.”
Strong.
Trevor also revealed second deed had not been finalized.
No Megan signature forged.
Good.
Crime prevented.
Trevor’s self-saving turned on Darlene.
She felt betrayed.
Therapist asked:
“Did you expect loyalty?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“I paid him.”
Then heard herself.
Control via money.
Again.
Trevor later wrote Logan:
I am not asking forgiveness. I’m giving every record because you deserve title cleared and because yes, it helps me. Both are true.
Logan appreciated honesty enough to reply:
Cooperate fully. Do not contact Megan.
Trevor:
Understood.
No reconciliation.
Maybe someday.
Legal outcome later:
Trevor pleaded to fraud-related offenses and received probation plus brief confinement? Need in chapter 20.
He lost professional real estate licenses/industry access perhaps.
Restitution.
Darlene more complex.
Trevor saved himself partially by truth.
