The lobby cameras captured Julian recognizing me.
His stare at the ring.
His movement toward the USB.
His whispered threat.
Audio from a nearby security microphone recorded:
“You’re not the only person I deceived.”
The corridor cameras captured the attempted theft.
The server-room camera captured his argument with Gregory.
No one could reframe the sequence as a confused cleaner attacking a guest.
For once, the building’s polished surfaces reflected what actually happened.
The footage entered court.
I watched it once.
Then stopped.
