**Emily Remembers**
Emily lay quietly in the hospital bed.
Her husband sat beside her.
Daniel entered the room.
"I'm Detective Brooks."
Emily nodded.
"I remember you."
"I need to ask you something."
She looked nervous.
"What happened?"
Emily closed her eyes.
"Sophia pushed me."
"Are you certain?"
"Yes."
"Did she say anything?"
Emily thought for several seconds.
"No."
Then her expression changed.
"Wait."
"What?"
"She said something before she pushed me."
Daniel leaned closer.
"What?"
Emily swallowed.
"She asked if I had told my husband about the envelope."
Daniel froze.
"What envelope?"
"I don't know."
"What envelope?"
Emily shook her head.
"I thought she was talking about something else."
Daniel immediately wrote it down.
"Did you receive an envelope recently?"
Emily nodded.
"Three days ago."
"From whom?"
"I don't know."
"What was inside?"
Emily looked toward her husband.
"I haven't opened it."
Daniel's expression changed.
"Where is it?"
Her husband answered.
"At home."
Daniel stood.
"Don't touch it."
He walked toward the door.
Behind him, Emily suddenly called out.
"Detective?"
He turned.
"There's something else."
"What?"
"Sophia knew about the envelope."
Daniel stared at her.
That changed everything.
Because if Sophia knew about something Emily had never opened...
Then someone had been watching Emily long before the attack.
