Chapter 10 - THE MARRIAGE CONTRACTMiriam found the amendment.

Three years after Arielle married Dorian, Evelyn’s family office had requested a technical clarification to the Westbrook trust.
Arielle had never signed it because it did not alter her prenup directly.
But it changed how reputational events could affect Dorian’s voting control.
If his spouse became publicly involved in scandal, certain family trustees could temporarily restrict shared governance rights.
Arielle sat back.
“This isn't about my settlement.”
“No.”
“What does it affect?”
“Dorian’s control.”

“Who benefits if Dorian loses voting control?”
Miriam opened the chart.
Evelyn.
And two trustees loyal to her.
Arielle went cold.
This wasn't simply a mother trying to replace a wife.

Cambria might get Dorian.
Evelyn might get the company.
Arielle whispered:
“Everyone gets something.”
Miriam nodded.
May you like
“Except you.”
“Exactly.”
