Someone Was Watching Henry

Henry returned to the cemetery after midnight.

The gates were locked.

He climbed over them.

Leo followed.

The cemetery was dark.

Henry walked toward Richard's mausoleum.

A small light was visible inside.

Someone was there.

Henry approached carefully.

Through the window, he saw Thomas.

The lawyer was searching through a box.

Henry entered.

Thomas spun around.

"Henry."

"What are you doing?"

"Looking for evidence."

"Against Victor?"

Thomas nodded.

Henry didn't trust him.

"Then why did you poison my grandfather?"

Thomas's face collapsed.

"I didn't."

"The video shows you giving him the glass."

"I brought him medicine."

"Then why did you take the glass?"

"Because Richard told me to."

"Why?"

Thomas looked toward the coffin.

"Because he knew someone had contaminated the medicine."

Henry stared.

"So you weren't poisoning him."

"No."

Thomas opened the box.

Inside was a laboratory report.

Richard had been poisoned.

But not by the substance they initially suspected.

The poison was introduced through a medication capsule.

Thomas continued.

"Your grandfather knew he was dying."

"Then why didn't he go to the police?"

"Because the poisoner had threatened to kill your mother."

Henry froze.

"My mother is alive."

Thomas nodded.

"I've known where she is for twelve years."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because Richard made me promise."

Henry grabbed the report.

"Who poisoned him?"

Thomas looked at him.

"I don't know."

Then a gunshot echoed outside.

The mausoleum window shattered.

Thomas pulled Henry down.

May you like

Leo roared.

Someone had found them.
