Ethan immediately stood.
"Doctor?"
"The baby is alive."
He exhaled deeply.

"Emily has suffered significant trauma."
"We've managed to stabilize both mother and child."

"The second fall caused far more damage than the first."
Ethan frowned.
"The second?"
Dr. Lawson nodded.
"The medical injuries suggest she suffered two separate impacts."
